Drawing on queer activist Mabel Hampton’s interviews as a guide through New York's historically queer spaces, Is Your Daughter Safe collages tableaus of Coney Island where Hampton worked and danced with co-opted scenes from the 1927 sexploitation film Is Your Daughter Safe and contemporary footage from Dyke March 2025. A rescue mission, love letter, and radically intimate intervention into queer histories, the film is a tender meditation on lesbian desire, expression, and liberation.
