In the early months of 1970, student protestors, urban workers, and farm peasants in the Philippines organized to overthrow the dictator Marcos and his imperial puppeteers. While mass resistance was building, the reality of grief amongst the people often intertwined with their willingness to dare, to hope, to fight for each other. Imagined as a letter to Enrique Sta. Brigada, a student that was tortured, and killed at the hands of state brutality, this eulogy pays homage to catalysts and methodologies of resistance, against impossible odds.
